Mike Flanagan, best known for redefining Stephen King’s horror for modern audiences, is bringing a chilling reimagining of Carrie to Amazon Prime Video. This marks Flanagan’s first King adaptation for Amazon MGM Studios, following acclaimed Netflix projects like Midnight Mass and The Haunting of Hill House.
Flanagan will write, showrun, executive-produce, and direct select episodes of this bold eight-episode limited series, launching a more expansive and suspenseful retelling of the iconic 1974 novel. It’s the first full TV adaptation of Carrie—offering room to explore the psychological depth behind Carrie White’s terrifying journey.
