This summer, Cosm invites audiences to experience The Matrix like never before in a one-of-a-kind shared reality setting. Beginning June 6, 2025, at Cosm’s venues in Los Angeles and Dallas, the groundbreaking 1999 sci-fi classic starring Keanu Reeves is presented in a revolutionary “Shared Reality” format. This immersive experience envelops viewers in a 12K LED dome, blending the original film with dynamic CGI enhancements that extend the action beyond the traditional screen.
A Cinematic Experience Beyond the Screen
Cosm’s Shared Reality technology transforms the moviegoing experience by projecting The Matrix onto an 87-foot wraparound dome. Audiences find themselves amidst the film’s iconic scenes, from Neo’s bullet-dodging rooftop battles to the eerie depths of the machine world. The environment reacts in real-time, creating a sensation of being inside the film’s universe.
“We believe the future will be more immersive and more experiential,” said Cosm President Jeb Terry. “It’s about creating a new experience that enhances the traditional movie format.”
Enhancing the Senses
To complement the visual spectacle, Cosm offers a four-course tasting menu inspired by The Matrix, available at the Los Angeles venue. Each dish corresponds with key moments in the film, engaging all the senses for a fully immersive experience.
