Over 400 Items from David Lynch’s Personal Collection is Set to Be Auctioned Off

David Lynch certainly deserves to be called a film (and music) legend, and now a large part of his personal items will be auctioned off.

Julien’s Auctions and Turner Classic Movies have announced an upcoming auction, dubbed The David Lynch Collection, that’ll feature over 400 items from Lynch’s personal assemblage. The collection will go on auction from June 18 onwards via Julien’s Auction’s website and in person at their Gardena auction house.

Among the items listed for auction are several holy grail items for fans including the esteemed filmmaker’s personalized director’s chair, his very own 35mm print of Eraserhead, the original rugs from Twin Peaks, his home espresso machine, a pair of taxidermy deer heads, prop menus and scripts from Mulholland Drive, numerous vintage film and video cameras, other filming equipment, an electric guitar, an acoustic drum kit, his personal collection of vinyl records – some of which were signed to him, artworks, furniture and more.

Julien’s Managing Director of Entertainment Catherine Williamson said in a press statement: “These historical and cherished pieces reflecting David Lynch’s singular artistic vision, as well as his passions and pursuits ranging from his director’s chair, espresso machine to his guitar, record collections and Twin Peaks style decor, come directly from the home of the visionary artist whose enigmatic films stirred our most imaginative and collective surreal dreams.”
