The official trailer for Nuked, a stoner-comedy directed and co-written by Deena Kashper, has dropped, teasing a hilarious yet tense premise—a group of friends get high, then receives a nuclear missile alert at their unplugged dinner party.
Plot
Anna Camp stars as Gill Langer, a relationship influencer celebrating her 40th birthday with husband Jack (Justin Bartha) and old friends over a tech-free, cannabis-infused dinner in a secluded mansion. As the group settles into their high, a chilling missile alert sounds: a nuclear weapon is headed their way.
The trailer highlights plenty of light-hearted banter, munchies, and the frustrations of losing phone connection—but humor takes a sharp turn. The trailer flips tone when the group realizes they’re on a potential kill zone timeline, amplified by their cannabis-altered state.
Cast
Anna Camp (Pitch Perfect) and Justin Bartha (The Hangover) headline the cast, which also features Lucy Punch, Tawny Newsome, Maulik Pancholy, Ignacio Serricchio, Natasha Leggero, Stephen Guarino, George Young, and Cole Stockel.
Based on true events (the 2018 Hawaii false missile alert), the 2024 Tribeca premiere film was written and directed by Deena Kashper, a fresh voice in indie–comedy filmmaking.
Set for release on July 11, 2025, via Quiver Distribution—Nuked is perfect for a “pizza and beer” movie night.
