At the annual One Piece Day celebration in Tokyo, Netflix unveiled the first official trailer for Season 2 of its hit live-action adaptation of One Piece, titled One Piece: Into the Grand Line. The streamer also confirmed that Season 3 is already in development.
What the Trailer Reveals
- The crew: The trailer sees the Straw Hat Pirates—Luffy, Zoro, Nami, Usopp, and Sanji—setting sail toward the Grand Line, ready for far greater challenges and adventures ahead.
- New characters: Viewers get their first live-action glimpses of key characters like Smoker (Callum Kerr), Nico Robin (Lera Abova), Princess Vivi/Miss Wednesday (Charithra Chandran), and the hulking giant Brogy.
- Beautiful settings: The teaser highlights intense, beautifully realized settings—from Loguetown to Little Garden—alongside more perilous encounters the crew must face.
Production & Release Outlook
Season 2 has officially wrapped filming and is confirmed for release in 2026, though an exact date is yet to be announced.
During the same event, Netflix announced a third season renewal, with filming for Season 3 set to begin in Cape Town, South Africa later this year. Ian Stokes will join Joe Tracz as the new co-showrunner and executive producer.
One Piece creator Eiichiro Oda continues to play an active role in the live-action adaptation, having personally chosen the cast for both Seasons 1 and 2—reinforcing the adaptation’s devotion to authenticity.
