In celebration of National Spider‑Man Day, Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures dropped the first official peek at Tom Holland’s new Spider‑Man suit for Spider‑Man: Brand New Day. The teaser ignited social media with its nostalgic red-and-blue design, blending modern flair with classic comic book roots.
Classic Red & Blue
The freshly revealed costume reimagines Spider‑Man’s iconic aesthetic:
- Vibrant red and bold blue dominate the main palette — a departure from past MCU tech-toned suits.
- Raised black webbing, a loving nod to the iconic Tobey Maguire Spidey-era.
- A larger, sleeker black chest emblem, reminiscent of Andrew Garfield’s iteration but without the Stark-era gadgetry.
- Visible mechanical web-shooters, affirming a return to Peter’s homemade ingenuity.
Rather than another Iron Man‑style upgrade, the suit signals the end of Tony Stark–built costumes, ushering in a “pure” Spider‑Man era with roots in street-level heroics.
Filming is currently underway in Glasgow, which has been extensively dressed to mimic NYC. High-octane shots of Holland in the new suit atop a tank have leaked.
Spider‑Man: Brand New Day is set for release on July 31, 2026 as part of MCU Phase 6, with Destin Daniel Cretton directing and Chris McKenna & Erik Sommers screenwriting.
