In Task, Ruffalo portrays Tom, an FBI agent assigned to lead a specialized task force aiming to dismantle a string of violent home invasions terrorizing the working-class suburbs of Philadelphia. The narrative intensifies as Tom’s team confronts a crew of masked robbers led by Robbie, an unsuspecting family man played by Tom Pelphrey.
