Amazon MGM Studios today released the official trailer for The Pickup, an action-comedy starring Eddie Murphy and Pete Davidson, arriving on Prime Video, August 6, 2025.
The trailer opens with armored-truck drivers Russell (Murphy) and Travis (Davidson) on a standard cash pickup—until Zoe (Keke Palmer), mastermind thief, hijacks the job and forces them into a chaotic casino heist.
Eddie Murphy’s seasoned swagger clashes comically with Davidson’s neurotic energy. There’s more than heist-level tension—Russell is racing home for his anniversary with Eva Longoria, while Travis realizes he’d previously hooked up with Zoe, adding awkward personal complications.

Director Tim Story (Barbershop, Ride Along), brings a polished blend of humor and action. Kevin Burrows and Matt Mider wrote the screenplay; Story, Murphy, and John Davis are credited as producers.
