Ignite Films is set on reviving cult horror film classics, and next in its 4K restoration series is Bride of Re-Animator, prepared in cooperation with Eagle Rock Pictures. The new version, which has a projected release for early 2026, will, according to the press release, receive a deluxe home video release mirroring the wildly popular Re-Animator 40th Anniversary Edition — packed with exclusive new bonus features, limited collector’s packaging, and fan-favorite surprises.
This upcoming 4K UHD release of Bride of Re-Animator is the third foray into the restoration and preservation of sci-fi horror classic films for Ignite Films and Eagle Rock Pictures. Their 40th Anniversary 4K UHD release of Re-Animator was released just this month to stellar reviews from critics and fans alike. Their 70th Anniversary 4K UHD restoration and release of Invaders From Mars was met with universal acclaim from fans and critics worldwide and was honored with many awards, including the 2024 SATURN Award® for Best Classic Film Home Media Release. The release also won the Best Rediscovery of a Forgotten Film from the Il Cinema Ritrovato DVD Awards ®2023 and the Hollywood Professional Association’s Inaugural Jury Award® for Outstanding Achievement in Restoration.
Bride of Re-Animator is a 1990 American comedy horror film produced and directed by Brian Yuzna and written by Yuzna, Rick Fry, and Woody Keith. It is a sequel to the 1985 film Re-Animator and the second entry in the Re-Animator film series. Like its predecessor, it is loosely based on the serialized story “Herbert West–Reanimator” (1921-1922) by H. P. Lovecraft.
