Warner Bros. Pictures Animation has officially unveiled the first trailer for the fully animated The Cat in the Hat, marking a vibrant return to Dr. Seuss’ beloved world. Voiced by Bill Hader, the film is set for theatrical release on February 27, 2026.

The Cat, now an “agent” of the whimsical Institute for the Institution of Imagination and Inspiration (I.I.I.I.), embarks on his toughest job—cheering up siblings Gabby and Sebastian in a new town, with the fate of his magical hat on the line.
The film intentionally distances itself from the divisive 2003 live-action version, honoring Audrey Geisel’s vision for a more faithful animated adaptation.
