The first full trailer for Alien: Earth, the highly anticipated prequel television series created by Noah Hawley and executive produced by Ridley Scott, has dropped—offering a chilling glimpse into Earth’s first encounter with Xenomorphs. Scheduled to premiere on August 12, 2025, on FX and FX on Hulu, and internationally via Disney+, the series marks the first time the iconic alien horror franchise ventures onto our home planet.
The trailer lands audiences in 2120, setting a tense tone as a mysterious spaceship crashes into Prodigy City, unleashing the franchise’s signature horror. We follow Wendy (Sydney Chandler), the first human consciousness transferred into a synthetic body, as she leads a team of researchers into the wreckage.
Also starring Timothy Olyphant as her synth mentor, Boy Kavalier (Samuel Blenkin), and Essie Davis, the team’s mission quickly spirals into a fight for survival when Xenomorphs break free. Though the trailer reveals only brief flash of the aliens, it’s filled with suspenseful visuals, haunting soundscapes, and foreboding containment failures.
Expanding the Franchise
