Los Angeles-based fashion label Gallery Dept. has once again collaborated with iconic skate brand Vans, this time reimagining the classic Authentic silhouette. Dubbed the “Art That Kills” edition, this sneaker seamlessly blends Gallery Dept.’s signature avant-garde aesthetic with Vans’ timeless design.
The “Art That Kills” Authentic features an off-white canvas upper, serving as a neutral backdrop for Gallery Dept.’s signature artistic flair. The sneaker is adorned with multicolored paint splatters, giving each pair a unique, handcrafted appearance. A blue foxing stripe adds a touch of contrast, while the midsole showcases subtle distressing and red “Art That Kills” branding, reflecting the brand’s rebellious ethos. Black Gallery Dept. logos are present on the insoles, and yellow tags are affixed to the canvas upper, further emphasizing the collaborative effort.
Sneaker enthusiasts can look forward to the release of the Gallery Dept. x Vans Authentic “Art That Kills” on March 24, 2025. While the official retail price has yet to be announced, the sneakers will be available through Vans’ official website and select retailers worldwide.
This collaboration is the latest partnership between Gallery Dept. and Vans, following their previous ventures that artfully combined high fashion with skate culture.
