The acclaimed stage play Stranger Things: The First Shadow—a theatrical prequel to Netflix’s smash hit—continues its successful run on Broadway at New York’s Marquis Theatre. What to Expect from the Stage Prequel
Set in 1959 in Hawkins, Indiana, the play dives into the earlier lives of teenage versions of beloved characters—Jim Hopper, Joyce Maldonado, Bob Newby—and introduces Henry Creel, the troubled youth destined to become series villain Vecna.
Directed by the Tony-winning team of Stephen Daldry and Justin Martin, the play is written by Kate Trefry, with story development by her, the Duffer Brothers, and Jack Thorne.
