LEGO Ideas New Italian Riviera Set Brings Mediterranean Charm to Your Shelf

The LEGO Group has officially unveiled its latest LEGO Ideas set: Italian Riviera (21359)—a stunning, adult-oriented build inspired by the colorful villages of Italy’s Ligurian coast. Designed by fan creator Alex Sahli (Galaxy333), the model captures the vibrancy and architecture of Cinque Terre (and beyond), and will be available for LEGO Insiders from August 7, followed by a full release on August 10, retailing at $299.99 / €279.99 / £249.99.

Set Highlights & Design Details

  • 3,251 Pieces: This expansive set features three uniquely colored buildings—a gelateria, a diving equipment shop, and a fish market—complete with removable roofs and upper levels showcasing detailed interiors like kitchens and living spaces.
  • 10 Minifigures Included: Interact with the scene via characters like a gelato shop owner, a fishmonger, a pasta-making nonna and her grandson, a tourist based on the fan designer, and even a kitten stealing fish.
  • Detailed Coastal Display: The base layer evokes cobblestone streets and a waterfront plank for the included sailboat. Additional accessories feature vehicles, umbrellas, and market signs that enrich the vignette.

Early buyers from August 7–13 receive an exclusive “Mediterranean Scene” Gift-with-Purchase (GWP). Insiders can also redeem 1,750 points for an exclusive A5 travel-themed notebook.

With its richly detailed architecture, scenic Mediterranean vibe, and immersive minifig storytelling, the Italian Riviera (21359) delivers one of this year’s most captivating LEGO Ideas sets. Available August 7/10, it’s a must-have for aficionados of travel, architecture, and imaginative play. Pack your virtual suitcase—no passport needed.
