The trailer is a fever dream of popping outlines, twisted environments, and grotesque character forms reminiscent of the era’s experimental animation.
You’ll play as one of several heavily medicated, flawed misfits, navigating twisted levels called The Unwell—fighting bizarre bosses and unlocking upgrades through vices and self-control.
Key weapons include riotous items such as a giant ice-cream cone or a lobotomised lollipop, matching the trailer’s chaotic visuals.
Solo or Co-Op
Into the Unwell features single-player and online co-op for up to three players—ideal for tackling inner demons with friends. Each playable character offers tactical diversity and unique synergy in chaotic group play.
Developed by Malmö-based She Was Such A Good Horse and published by Coffee Stain Publishing, the game is heading to Steam Early Access soon. The team emphasizes community involvement: Early Access will last around 18 months, with updates informed by player feedback.
