We Got Some Work Done

As I’m sure you’ve noticed by now, things are looking a bit different over here at LIVING LIFE FEARLESS. Well, we’ve had some work done, and while it may look like surface level changes, it’s actually a major shift in our philosophy and mindset going forward.

As this site’s gone through different phases and iterations over the years, we think this is our truest form yet. So, not so much as a change, but a return to LIVING LIFE FEARLESS’ original intention and purpose for existence: a discovery platform.

We’ve always strived to bring you the freshest new music, film, art, and culture we love (with a special focus on the underground and indie), to expose artists that we think are super dope, and to encourage exploration of what’s out there.

Now, with this new form, we can truly offer you that. With these changes you have full freedom to browse cascading walls (and we mean WALLS) of continuously updated, curated content, broken down into easily discoverable areas and topics. So, whether you happen to love alternative rock, or soul, or cult movies, or anime, or you’re really into vinyl, we’ve got you covered. You can find that all with the click of a button.

Why the change?

It’s no secret that we were heavily influenced by Vice, Rolling Stone, Pitchfork, and the countless music blogs of the 2000s, so like all things, we started out imitating what we loved. It worked, to a point. While it was a great jumping off point, and taught us how to curate and present content, it felt limiting. Magazines, blogs, and their ilk are outdated in today’s landscape.

The eureka moment came while perusing Spotify (I know, we’re not fans). Issues with that platform (and other streamers) aside, they’re undeniably great at presenting music in a way that encourages organic exploration and discovery. That’s what we want. To present things we think you’ll like and giving you the freedom to find out for yourself.

That magical feeling of digging through crates and finding that album or movie that completely changes you, that’s the golden stuff. That’s the feeling that keeps us doing what we’re doing, and it’s the feeling we want you to have while browsing our site.

So check it out, browse, explore, click around, find that new thing. Then come back tomorrow, and the day after, and the week after; there will be more, this is just the beginning.
