Zombie Land Saga Anime Film Reveals Its Title & 2025 Release Date

Officially titled 'Zombie Land Saga: Yumeginga Paradise'

The Zombie Land Saga anime film is officially coming in 2025, and it will be called officially Zombie Land Saga: Yumeginga Paradise (Dream Galactic Paradise).

The announcement revealed a new key visual that shows the main characters in their zombie forms against a striking red background. This new film continues the wild and hilarious story of Franchouchou, the zombie idol group that has taken the world by storm.

Zombie Land Saga Story

Zombie Land Saga first premiered in October 2018, bringing a fresh and wacky twist to the idol genre. The anime follows Sakura Minamoto, a girl who dreams of becoming an idol but meets an unfortunate fate—she gets hit by a car and wakes up as a zombie! She soon meets Kōtarō Tatsumi, a mysterious (and very eccentric) producer who tells her that she will be part of an idol group made entirely of zombies.

What makes this idol group special is that the members are all legendary girls from different time periods in Japan, resurrected to help revitalize the Saga Prefecture through their performances. MAPPA, Avex Pictures, and Cygames produced the series, and it was streamed worldwide via Crunchyroll, with an English dub available through Funimation.

A sequel anime, Zombie Land Saga Revenge, aired in April 2021 and continued the group’s journey as they fought to become top idols while keeping their zombie identities a secret.

In addition to the anime, the series inspired a stage play titled Zombie Land Saga Stage de Do-n!, which was performed in Tokyo in September 2020. Originally, it was planned for March 2020, but delays led to a later performance.

The series also got a side story manga titled Zombie Land Saga Gaiden: The First Zombie, created by character designer Kasumi Fukagawa. It ran in Shueisha’s Ultra Jump magazine from May 2021 to December 2022, concluding with three volumes.
