Netflix has just dropped the opening sequence for its upcoming Devil May Cry anime, and fans are in for a treat! The video features none other than Limp Bizkit’s hit song “Rollin’,” setting the tone for an action-packed adventure. Along with the opening sequence, Netflix also confirmed that the series will premiere on April 3, 2025.
This isn’t the first time Devil May Cry has been adapted into an anime—Madhouse Studios created a 12-episode series back in 2007. However, this new adaptation promises to bring something fresh, with multiple seasons planned.
The show is being animated by Studio Mir, a studio well-known for its work on series like The Legend of Korra and DOTA: Dragon’s Blood. It is produced by Adi Shankar, the man behind Netflix’s Castlevania series, who has dubbed this new project part of his so-called “bootleg multiverse.”
One of the biggest highlights is that Johnny Yong Bosch will be voicing the legendary demon hunter Dante in the English dub. Fans of the game series may recognize Bosch as the voice of Nero in Devil May Cry 4 and Devil May Cry 5.
The first season will have eight episodes and feature key characters from the franchise, including Vergil (Dante’s twin brother) and Lady, a fierce demon hunter who has appeared in several games.
DMC is a highly popular action game series created by CAPCOM. The first game was released in 2001, and since then, the series has grown into a massive franchise, inspiring novels, manga, stage plays, and anime adaptations.
