To Be Hero X Anime Sets April 6 Premiere with Stunning New Visual Reveal

The highly anticipated anime To Be Hero X has officially confirmed its premiere date—mark your calendars for April 6, 2024! This exciting series, a collaboration between Aniplex and Bilibili, will air in Japan on Fuji TV at 9:30 a.m. on Sundays. Interestingly, it will take over the time slot currently held by One Piece, which is moving to a late-night programming block starting on the same day.

Alongside the debut announcement, the staff also unveiled a brand-new key visual, giving fans a glimpse of the anime’s unique art style and its intriguing cast of characters.

For those outside Asia, Crunchyroll will be streaming To Be Hero X worldwide. Meanwhile, fans in Japan can catch the series on Netflix and Amazon Prime Video.

The anime boasts an impressive voice cast, featuring popular talents such as:

  • Natsuki Hanae as Nice
  • Nobunaga Shimazaki as E-soul
  • Kōichi Yamadera as Ahu
  • Inori Minase as Lucky Cyan
  • Ayane Sakura as Loli
  • Yoshitsugu Matsuoka as Little Johnny
  • Yūichi Nakamura as Ghostblade
  • Kōki Uchiyama as Dragon Boy
  • Kana Hanazawa as Queen
  • Mamoru Miyano as X

The series is directed by Li Haolin, who is also credited for the original work. It is produced by BeDream in partnership with bilibili and Aniplex.

Adding to the excitement, To Be Hero X will feature music by a powerhouse lineup of composers, including Hiroyuki Sawano — known for his iconic work on series like Attack on Titan. He composed the main theme, “Jeopardy,” with additional music by Kohta Yamamoto, Hidefumi Kenmochi, DAIKI (AWSM.), Shuhei Mutsuki, Hideyuki Fukasawa, Misaki Umase, and Ryūichi Takada from MONACA.

The opening theme song, “INERTIA,” will be performed by SawanoHiroyuki[nZk]:Rei, while SennaRin will sing the ending theme, “KONTINUUM.”

For those unfamiliar with the franchise, the To Be Hero series first debuted in 2016 with a 12-episode run, followed by its sequel, To Be Heroine, in 2018 — both directed by Li Haolin. Now, To Be Hero X promises to take the story to the next level, blending action, humor, and heart.
