The hit anime Go! Go! Loser Ranger! is officially returning for Season 2 this spring! The highly anticipated new season will premiere on April 13, 2025, in Japan, as part of the competitive Spring 2025 anime lineup.
Based on Negi Haruba’s manga, which first debuted in Kodansha’s Weekly Shonen Magazine in 2021, Go! Go! Loser Ranger! quickly gained popularity worldwide. Known for its unique twist on the classic Power Rangers and Super Sentai themes, the anime offers a darker take on the hero genre, similar to The Boys. The first season, which aired last year, was well-received by both anime and Tokusatsu fans, setting the stage for an even more exciting continuation in Season 2.
The upcoming season will stream exclusively on Disney+ internationally, while Hulu has yet to confirm whether it will provide the series in the U.S., as it did with Season 1. Fans who want to catch up can still watch the first season on Hulu with both Japanese and English-dubbed options available.
Production
The production team from Season 1 will return to bring the story to life again. Keiichi Sato will direct the series at Yostar Pictures, with Keiichiro Ochi handling the scriptwriting. Kahoko Koseki is back as the character designer, Kenji Hayama as the animation designer, and Yoshihiro Ike will once again compose the music.
Season 2
While the main story will continue to explore the twisted dynamics of heroes and villains in this dark and satirical world, new characters are teased in the latest promotional poster. However, details about these characters and additional cast members haven’t been revealed yet.
For those unfamiliar, Go! Go! Loser Ranger! reimagines the world of heroes, where the villains, not the heroes, take center stage. It’s a story full of action, intrigue, and moral questions about what it truly means to be a hero.
Are you looking forward to Season 2 of Go! Go! Loser Ranger!?
