With an album title that says I’m Glad This Gas Been Easy For You, it is no wonder that Connecticut-based artist Remy Josef has taken on the moniker of LIT. MAJOR.
Josef is a singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist who operates from his (very) DIY home recording space in central Connecticut, and has been writing and recording music under various names since the early 2010s, but assumed the LIT. MAJOR moniker in 2017 with the album Fear of Life.
Whether his previous releases have left any impact on the audiences becomes a bit irrelevant here, as I’m Glad This Gas Been Easy For You should. Josef has all the songwriting prerequisites to come up with compelling, detailed songs that can relate his thoughts and ideas, and even more so an intricate voice that can give those songs exactly the touch they need. Oh, and his lyrics do have that literary major element there, without being high-brow or preachy.
What we have on hand here is an intriguing, utterly listenable singer-songwriter album that doesn’t falter at any point.
