Boston songwriter and singer Indiana Rich is now releasing her third album, Gemini, and putting the songwriter tag first, and singer second just might be the right distinction, as her music is somewhat removed from that standard singer-songwriter characterization.

Mind you, not that either lag behind, as her capabilities as either are excellent, it is just that is her music is a bit removed from the usual acoustic guitar/piano sound usually associated with singer-songwriters.

Someone characterized her music as ‘…if ABBA and Billie Eilish had a love child it may sound something like this,’ but she also seems to be quite a big fan of artists like Kate Bush too, and that is quite evident in her songwriting that is a bit removed from the usual pop fare that can be heard these days.

Rich explains, Musically, my style blends a cappella with elements of classic rock and vocally oriented pop. As a female vocalist, my voice and vocal arrangements are the driving force behind my music. When people ask, I describe it Pop/Rock-Cappella.

And yes, that is exactly the feel you get from nine tracks here, a bit more complex, sophisticated pop, if you will that Indiana Rich has the capabilities to pull through exactly as she envisioned it.

Conclusion
With her new album 'Gemini,' Indian Rich steps into the sophisticated pop waters, not strictly defined by the singer-songwriter tag.
