Your Neighbors Goes Down The Rabbit Hole on Chaotic Indie Pop Track “Outta My Mind”

Fully embracing a self-destructive path

Your Neighbors, the chaotic indie pop outfit helmed by songwriter/producer Walker Robinson, have shared their new single “Outta My Mind,” available to stream now on all DSPs worldwide. The track is about not only letting yourself go down a self-destructive path, but fully embracing it. The band also just wrapped up a successful supporting US run with English multi-instrumentalist Alfie Templeman.

“At this point, the character is going further down into the pits of hedonism,” says Robinson. “Throwing caution to the wind and going headfirst into all the pleasures life has to offer. They encounter another person that they think will bring them some sort of fulfillment. But this other person has an even more depraved moral code, and they get a good look at how dark living for yourself can really get.”

Your Neighbors is headed by an insecure, low rent, drunken has-been with high expectations and a damning sense of self-awareness (aka Walker Robinson). He hires world-class producers and extremely talented musicians to make up for his lack of instrumental prowess and shallow lyrics. From Dad Rock to Hip-Hop, Your Neighbors hopes to find a foothold in the music world by throwing anything and everything at the wall hoping something will stick.

Almost monthly, he plans on releasing new songs inspired by artists who are miles ahead of him creatively. If you don’t like the most recent release, not to worry. He will likely do a 180 and completely dismantle another genre in the next month. Come along for the journey and embrace the chaos – it knows no bounds.
