The official website and channels for the Solo Leveling Season 2 anime released an exciting new trailer, along with the announcement that the new season will premiere January 4, 2025. The new trailer also confirmed the ending theme song “UN-APEX” performed by TK from Ling tosite sigure.
Solo Leveling Season 2 -Arise from the Shadow- follows the first 12-episode season in 2024, and the recently released Solo Leveling -ReAwakening- anime omnibus movie. Shunsuke Nakashige will continue to direct the new season at A-1 Pictures. The anime adapts the Korean webtoon series of the same name by DUBU (REDICE Studio), Chugong and h-goon.
Season 2 of Solo Leveling will pick up with Jinwoo after he earns the moniker of Shadow Monarch. Now able to bring back the dead, Jinwoo’s powers have reached new heights, and the upgrade could not have come at a better time. After all, other S-Rank hunters have learned Jeju Island’s top monsters are even stronger now, and they will need Jinwoo’s help to keep the peace.
It’s felt like a long wait for fans of the series, but based on the action-packed trailer, it appears that the wait will be well worth it. Just how far can he push his powers? And how strong will the foes he has to face along the way? January can’t come soon enough. Like it’s first season, season 2 will stream on Crunchyroll.
