Warner Bros. is Reportedly Planning a New ‘Bleach’ Live-Action Movie Adaptation

Coinciding with the anime's 20th anniversary

The excitement for live-action adaptations of popular manga and anime continues to grow, and now Bleach is rumored to be next in line. Bleach, created by Tite Kubo, is one of the most iconic shonen series ever, known for its thrilling story and memorable characters.

Warner Bros. Pictures is reportedly working on a live-action version of Bleach. The studio is already in the process of finding a writer and director for the project, which, if confirmed, would add another major manga adaptation to the list of successful film and TV projects.

This news comes as part of a broader trend where major manga and anime series are being adapted into live-action films and shows.

One Piece, still one of the biggest and most popular manga properties, has already been adapted into a popular live-action series by Netflix, and Naruto is set to receive a film directed by Destin Daniel Cretton.

With these recent rumblings of a Bleach live-action adaptation, it shows the increasing shift in focus of traditional Western studios to the rich land of manga and anime properties.

The buzz around Bleach ‘s potential live-action adaptation coincides with the 20th anniversary of its anime, which first aired on October 5, 2004, and the premiere of the third part of its final arc, Thousand-Year Blood War.

Would you be down for a Hollywood adaptation of Bleach?
