The Demon Lord 2099 anime, based on the light novel series by Daigo Murasaki and Kureta, has unveiled a new promotional video and key visual for the anime’s Akihabara Arc, which began with episode 8 on November 30th. Along with the video, new cast members were announced, bringing fresh voices to the series.
The new cast includes:
- Aya Yamane as Hizuki Reynard-Yamada
- Hisako Kanemoto as Tratte Götel
- Yōko Hikasa as Mag Rosanta
- Setsuji Satō as Korneah Seburd
The anime debuted earlier this fall on October 12, airing on several Japanese TV networks including Tokyo MX, Gunma TV, Tochigi TV, and BS11. It’s also available on MBS, AT-X, and Chukyo TV. For international audiences, Demon Lord 2099 is being streamed on Crunchyroll in English-speaking, Latin American, and European countries. Additionally, it has an English dub available for viewers to enjoy.
Demon Lord 2099
The story follows Demon Lord Veltol, voiced by Satoshi Hino, who makes a dramatic return to the modern world in the year 2099. The series is set in Shinjuku, a massive city-state that seems to be at the peak of human progress but hides dark secrets underneath. To reclaim control of this world and shape the future, Veltol must face powerful enemies and navigate the intricacies of his new world. Miku Itō voices Machina, a key character in the series.
Along with the primary cast, Demon Lord 2099 includes several notable characters voiced by:
- Daisuke Namikawa as Graham, a legendary hero
- Masaya Matsukaze as Marcus, a demon lord
- Shizuka Itō as Kinohara, Marcus’ secretary
- Hana Hishikawa as Takahashi
The anime is directed by Ryo Ando, who has previously worked on projects like 86 and Double Decker! Doug & Kirill. Yūichirō Momose is in charge of writing and overseeing the series scripts, while Ryousuke Tanigawa is designing the characters. The sound director is Jin Aketagawa, and Tatsuya Katō is composing the music.
