Announced by its official website, the highly anticipated anime adaptation of Demon Lord 2099 has an official release date set for October 12. The series is based on the light novel written by Daigo Murasaki and illustrated by Kureta.
The anime will debut on several TV networks, including Tokyo MX, Gunma TV, Tochigi TV, and BS11, on October 12 at 24:00 (which translates to October 13 at midnight). Additional airings will follow on MBS later that night, on AT-X on October 13 at 10:30 p.m., and on Chukyo TV on October 15. For streaming in Japan, the series will be available on d Anime Store and ABEMA.
Cast & Production
The animation production is handled by the reputable studio J.C. Staff, with Ryo Ando directing. Ando is known for his work on 86 and Double Decker! Doug & Kirill. Yūichirō Momose, the mastermind behind So I’m a Spider, So What? and The Witch and the Beast, is overseeing the scripts for Demon Lord 2099, ensuring an engaging and well-structured storyline.
The character designs are in the hands of Ryousuke Tanigawa, who previously worked on One Punch Man (Season 2) as chief animation director. The music, composed by Tatsuya Katō, is expected to enhance the intense and futuristic atmosphere of the anime, while Jin Aketagawa serves as the sound director.
As for the opening and ending themes, fans can look forward to “Hollow” by Shiyui kicking off the episodes, while “Spira” by sekai will conclude them.
The anime will feature notable voice actors Satoshi Hino as Demon Lord Veltol and Miku Itō as Machina, bringing the central characters to life with their dynamic performances.
