Hailing from planet Earth, sister duo Girl Tones are trashing the party in the official video for their raucous debut single “Fade Away.” Directed by Casey Pierce, the video is full of color-blocked primary tones as the duo hosts a rageful pity party. Crushing flowers, tearing through walls, and rigging drum kits with balloons, Girl Tones thrashes over being burned over and over again.
On the video, Girl Tones shared, “Everyone loves a party. But when does it stop being a party and become a chore?”
At the end of August, Kenzie and Laila shed their classical training to tap into the escapism that the new project of Girl Tones provides for them. Produced by Brad Shultz and recorded at the infamous Nashville studio Battle Tapes, the first single was released via Parallel Vision.
The last few months saw Girl Tones out on the road supporting Cage The Elephant on their Neon Pill Tour. So early in their careers, the duo has crossed off the bucket list item of playing at Red Rocks and more.
Girl Tones, of planet Earth, are a high-energy rock duo brought to life by two sisters named Kenzie and Laila. Both classically trained musicians, Kenzie transitioned from cello to guitar and Laila from piano to drums in an effort to electrify sentient beings from this galaxy to the next.
