Ohio’s Mascots Have Dropped an Infectious New Emo-Pop Anthem “Vertigo”

About finding hope, and seeing glimpses of a future

Hailing from the outskirts of Cincinnati, Ohio, Mascots have made their mark felt with the incredibly catchy, sing-along worthy new single, “Vertigo.” A true emo-pop anthem.

Guitarist/vocalist Robert Coyle says, “Our last single, ‘Slipping in the Dark,’ released on 4/3 is about the acceptance of change. ‘Vertigo’ is the natural evolution and next step in finding hope, and seeing glimpses of a future beyond the instant satisfaction we so often seek. A social commentary on quick fixes that we use to tear ourselves down. It is the discovering of new possibilities and finding support to regain a sense of purpose.

With lyrical content touching the subject of mental health, self-care. The chorus begs to be sang in unison. “So take it all away if life is just a game.

Recorded and produced by Seth Henderson (Always Be Genius Recording Studio; Knuckle Puck, Real Friends, The Devil Wears Prada, State Champs, Broadside) and Mastered at the legendary Sterling Sound by the iconic Chris Gehringer (Turnstile, Lady Gaga, Rihanna, Wu Tang Clan, 50 Cent), ‘Vertigo’ offers a larger than life wall of sound with driving choruses that will dare you to sing along.”

Formed in the fall of 2014, Mascots emerged as a dynamic passion project among five friends hailing from the outskirts of Cincinnati, Ohio. Fusing infectious melodies, electrifying guitar riffs, and pop anthemic undertones, Mascots have crafted a diverse catalogue of musical endeavors.
