The EP focuses on Jordan’s journey chasing the idea of being “special,” when in reality, maybe he already is. “For the longest time I just wanted to feel like I mattered,” says Jordan. “I always felt as if I didn’t belong, but over the past few years of writing these songs I’ve come to learn that everyone is special in their own way. It is of course still something I struggle with, but it’s an important reminder for when I am in those dark moments. These songs are all about me learning to accept and love myself, as well as where my thoughts have been. I specifically hope that sharing ‘charlie,’ which is about me growing up, can help people feel less alone and become a reminder that you can get through the hard moments.”
