The airwaves are about to get a major jolt as Bruvvy, the Miami based band, releases their latest single, “KEVIN.”
Rock & Roll is experiencing a quasi-renaissance and “KEVIN” gets in on the action by tapping into the genre’s raw, unapologetic spirit, for a new generation. It’s an adrenaline-fueled anthem that’s full of loud and messy guitar riffs, driving drums, and brazen basslines.
Bruvvy is an unapologetically raw take on Rock & Roll, a term which the members felt was in desperate need of a revamp. Liz Varum (vocals & guitar), Paula Bunich (bass), Nelson Gonzalez (lead guitar), and Juan Cabrera (drums) shamelessly flaunted their roots upon the release of their debut single “Sarandon”. With an obvious classic rock influence echoing through the guitar work and minimalistic, in-your-face arrangement, Bruvvy has truly found a way to show off the sparks which ignited their flame. Being recognized for their unmatched stage presence, their studio goal was to bottle a mere ounce of that infectious energy to make you sweat.
Bruvvy has played all over Florida since July, playing Miami, Fort Lauderdale, West Palm Beach, Orlando, St. Augustine, Gainesville, Fort Myers, Port Charlotte, Winter Park, Tallahassee, and are looking to take things nationally.
“Bruvvy is what happens when four severely bratty friends are bound together by an undeniable musical chemistry. Over the past four years, Bruvvy has torn the Miami music scene to shreds with sex soaked riffs and a huge attitude problem. “Settle Down”, co-written with their executive producer Curtis Peoples, borders on a massive ego trip, exploring themes of self-empowerment & reclaiming what is rightfully yours.” – Liz
