Albert King’s ‘Born Under A Bad Sign’ Gets A Remaster

It is considered one of the greatest blues albums around

As officially announced by Craft Recordings, the label will celebrate the centennial year of the blues giant Albert King with special vinyl and hi-res digital reissues of his classic Stax Records debut, ‘Born Under a Bad Sign.’ The reissue release date is set for April 21st.

This highly influential blues album famously features an all-star line-up of musicians (including Booker T & The M.G.’s and members of The Memphis Horns) and finds King aiming toward the sky with such blues classics as “Laundromat Blues,” “Oh Pretty Woman,” and “Crosscut Saw,” not to mention the iconic title track.

In over 55 years since its release, the legacy of Born Under A Bad Sign has only continued to grow in prestige, being inducted into the GRAMMY Hall of Fame and the Blues Hall of Fame, as well as getting added to the Library of Congress’s National Recording Registry.
