As soon as the war in Ukraine began in earnest, many artists/musicians rightfully raised their voices against it through their music.

Yet, there were those musicians that foresaw what was coming, predicting the horrors of war even before it started. One of those artists is Britain-based hip-hop artist Eclipseye.

Predicting the Russian invasion of Ukraine, Eclipseye recorded this anti-war statement a few months before the actual invasion began. It is a statement against war-mongering, among other global issues.

To present his statement, Eclipseye wraps it in what we can call rap metal, adapting his voice both to the message and to the music that envelops it.

Actually, this is not the first time Eclipseye has used his music to raise social awareness. He began his career at a poetry coffeeshop event in 2016, where he went on to release a number of tracks under a different pseudonym, before taking a break to refine his artistic style and image.

Eclipseye began his return earlier in the year with the single titled – “Hymn of Hypocrisy,” wherein he criticizes the UK government for its numerous political controversies, accumulating 100s of thousands of plays across different platforms, and now he issues his anti-war statement with “Whap Clatter.”
