As we tie a bow on the incredibly weird and taxing year that was 2020 (and hopefully look towards a brighter 2021), we look back at the equally weird year we had in music. While I think we can all mostly agree that a majority of the big names in music failed to deliver anything truly noteworthy, the indie scene more than stepped up to the plate. Which you will see represented in our eclectic selection of the year’s best. As always, this list was developed through a lengthy discussion on our podcast. So if you want to hear exactly how and why we came up with the selections that we did, then I suggest you check that podcast out, if not, or if you already have, here is our definitive list of our Top 25 Albums of 2020 (actually ranked this time!).
These are all projects that you should stop whatever it is you’re doing and give ’em a spin if you have not heard them yet, but as always, let us know what you think about our list and let us know what you would have left off and what you would have added.
