It’s practically impossible these days to turn on the TV or surf the web without getting bombarded with coronavirus headlines and news. And while we’ve all been affected by this pandemic in one way or another, few places have been hit as hard as Italy.
Aside from the daily updates on the climbing numbers, we haven’t really gotten a good look at what the situation actually is like from a first person perspective.
That’s where professional basketball player and filmmaker Bobby Jones Jr. has stepped in.
With the basketball season (and every other sport’s season) suspended indefinitely, and most likely cancelled, it left a lot of American players there stuck in limbo. Realizing the magnitude of the events unfolding around the world, and particularly Italy, Bobby grabbed his camera and documented just what it was like during the first week of the country’s total lockdown.
It’s timely content that’s equally parts educational, hopeful, and filled with the right mix of seriousness and levity. Everyone should check it out.
