Trailer Roundup 12/25/17

Trailer Roundup 12/25-1/7

This is officially our last Trailer Roundup involving anything from 2017 and expectedly so there wasn’t a whole lot of big, new announcements worthy of being mentioned. But nonetheless, we did get our first real look at what the geniuses (yeah I said it) behind Workaholics have been working on with Netflix and while the trailer didn’t send me over the hill with excitement, I know, much like their hit show, there’s going to be a lot more going on then they’ve shown and the chemistry between the trio will be through the roof. Think Die Hard meets Keanu. Speaking of Die Hard, Bruce Willis returns to the big screen with Death Wish, a remake of the MGM sort-of classic of the same name. Doesn’t look great but it’s Bruce Willis doing Bruce Willis things. If you’re looking for another reason to have no faith in our financial institutions and the people who run it, then look no further than The China Hustle. It looks morbidly fascinating like watching a train wreck; except worse because we’re all aboard this one.

For even more morbid fixations we got a whole host of new horror movie announcements that all look wholly bad and generic, with Slender Man in particular being about 5 years too late. But the dark comedy, Nicolas Cage-led Mom and Dad looks like one of those sooo bad it might actually be good movies, which seems to be his main MO these days. If nothing else we’ll get an extremely over-the-top, extra animated Nicolas Cage and that’s worth the 90 minutes alone.

Check out everything I rounded up below and let me know which ones you’re most pumped for.

Game Over, Man!

Nostalgia

The China Hustle

Death Wish

The Open House

Truth or Dare
