Lecrae & Zaytoven - Let the Trap Say Amen Reaction | Reactions | LIVING LIFE FEARLESS
Community Rating0 Votes0

Lecrae has easily solidified his spot as the most successful gospel rapper in the history of the genre and it’s not even close. He’s been able to achieve that because he’s found away to appeal to a much larger audience than just the gospel crowd. He’s always straddled that fine line but to see him team up with Zaytoven was a surprise. Zaytoven has been responsible for some of the biggest trap records out there, especially in trap’s early days, and the usual material laid to these type beats are about as far from gospel as you can get. But where as others have typically used these beats to glorify the streets and ‘trap’ life, Lecrae takes aim at talking about the perils of that lifestyle and advocating for a better and at the least different way. It’s not as jarring as you’d expect it to be as he’s very subtle in the messaging and the focus is more on the musicality of it all – which has always been his strength. It’s especially entertaining to hear someone like Waka Flocka Flame deliver a verse without any cursing or threats of shooting anyone. I don’t think any of the beats will go down as Zaytoven’s best but they still are more than serviceable. Let The Trap Say Amen was an unexpected pairing that turned out actually pretty dope.

Rae Sremmurd – Sr3mm Reaction
Rae Sremmurd has proven that they sound fine as solo artists but "Sr3mm", while not musically as good as "Swaecation" and a bit better than "Jxmtro", shows that they still sound at their best when feeding off of each other's energy and what they both respectively bring to the table.Read full review

Smokepurpp & Murda Beatz – Bless Yo Trap Reaction
"Bless Yo Trap" is a by the numbers 'SoundCloud rap' album that fails to produce anything really worth of note. When the bar of entry into this sub-genre is this low they were always bound to start cannibalizing each others' sound and fan base sooner than later.Read full review
