6 years go with the release of their epic The Rules of Dada, it felt like Dada Life were poised to be the next big thing on the EDM/electronic scene…and then they disappeared. 6 years in music is a long time and things change and have changed drastically since we last heard from them. Whether or not they recapture that energy they were building was a big question mark for me going into Our Nation. My answer coming out of it…yes and no. Their sound is instantly recognizable to anyone familiar with their previous work, with songs ranging everywhere from monster bangers like “Do It Till Your Face Hurts” to more poppy, lyric driven stuff like “Sunday Fuck You Too.” It’s enjoyable in that it’s more Dada and they do those monster, face-melting songs as good as anyone out there, but the album as a whole feels a bit too formulaic and at times outdated compared to where everyone else is in EDM. Our Nation would have been a great follow-up, 5, even 4 years ago, but now they feel like they have some catching up to do.

Steve Angello - Human Reaction | Reactions | LIVING LIFE FEARLESS
Human feels like an awakening, a new direction in life, and a result of a search for deeper understanding. It's an album that's full of spirituality and (at times overtly) religious overtones that sees Steve Angello pull out all of the tools in his deep tool kit, and while it's a clear departure from the music that thrust him to the upper echelons, it's a glorious new beginning to something special.

ZHU - Ringos Desert, Pt. 1 Reaction | Reactions | LIVING LIFE FEARLESS
ZHU's music has always been fairly chilled out but he seems to crank that sultry, expansive vibe to another level here and that makes his airy vocals pair even better with the backing soundscapes. I like what I'm hearing so far and can't wait to see what else he has in store for this year.

Alison Wonderland - Awake Reaction | Reactions | LIVING LIFE FEARLESS
Alison Wonderland's sophomore effort is a crazy mix of wide ranging sounds that kept me on my toes throughout, not really knowing what to expect next. I'm not the biggest EDM fan but I really enjoyed her brand of music and I never would have guessed that someone could make me like a Chief Keef EDM song as much as I did.
