Meek Millโs back! Well sortaโฆ Heโs not back with a full length but he is back with an EP just in time to capitalize on the newfound attention heโs been receiving since his (at the moment temporary) long sought after release from prison. Itโs crazy to think about, but just a couple years ago people were raining all kinds of memes and insults his way after that Drake debacle, but ever sinceย Wins & Losses and the #freemeekmill movement heโs somewhat turned into the peopleโs champ. Heโs resilient to say the least, and thatโs a major theme in the 4-track EP. Heโs shown a ton of growth both personally and as an artist; no longer is everything just about rollies, cars, and women, but he touches on some real issues and does it exceptionally well. But then he also still does that turn up music better than most and โDangerousโ is probably the best โfemale-orientedโ song heโs ever put out.ย Legends Of The Summer is a short offering but it has me excited to hear what this newly re-energized Meek Mill can really bring to the table.
They told us to hate each other before we learn how to walk
Mama taught you how to fight, fight, before she taught you how to write, right
And daddy locked down in the cell, canโt kiss you night, night
Monsters under the bed every night, feel like itโs fright night
Coke fumes in the air, mama holding on that pipe tight
And you catchinโ contact, but never mind thatโ โStay Wokeโ
