We got some big name video drops this week starting with Maroon 5, which features yet another “urban” feature and the second with a TDE artist, this time being SZA. Out of all their singles, this is the one I think actually works. The video is another out there affair that shows Adam chasing SZA all across the globe in his own version of the for the p…love challenge. Dope to see SZA blowing up. U2 releases a new single for their forthcoming new album and the video is a love affair with New York which is essentially their second home by now. It’s actually a great song, and I’ll probably check the album out as long as they give me a choice this time.
On the smaller scale of things, HAIM released an essentially short film, live version of recordings for their still in rotation Something To Tell You. Fergie releases a disturbingly homicidal video (it’s ok because it’s animated) for yet another single that falls flat. Kevin Gates gets an assist from his family for a video from his latest mixtape since he can’t promote from behind bars, the latest J. Cole signed Dreamville label artist, Lute, continues to make himself known, and Young Thug drops a Girls Gone Wild inspired video for his Future assisted “Relationship” single for his last project. Check them all out below and let me know which one was your favorite of the week.
