This week’s trailer roundup was made up of mostly more in depth second looks at previously revealed movies like The Shape of Water, Daddy’s Home 2, and Coco. With The Shape of Water in particular continuing to look better and better, while Coco still hasn’t wowed me with that usual Pixar charm. I’m sure it’ll still turn out to be a hit but it’s not as high on my list as I initially thought it would be.
Outside of second release trailers we got our first look at I, TONYA, the upcoming Margot Robbie film based on the insane true life story of Tonya Harding, and I gotta say I’m sold. It’s brand of dark comedy seems right up my alley. Lastly of major note, Tom Hanks, Meryl Streep, and Steven Spielberg all team up to make a film. Enough said right? Thought so.
