Blue Chipsย was the first tape of Bronsonโs that I ever heard and Iโve been a big fan ever since. Itโs probably been his most successful series yet and the one that most of his fans have been patiently waiting for, especially since his major debut,ย Mr. Wonderfulย left a lot of his fan base divided. I personally loved it, but Iโm probably more open to change and experimentation than most and I could see where some fans would be disappointed. However, with the announcement of the next installment of his beloved series, there was a palpable sense of excitement to what promised to be a return to form and in true Bronson fashion he skipped the three and went straight toย Blue Chips 7000.
โSweep you off your feet
Like Ryu in the cornerโ
Thereโs an implied next levelness that comes with naming his tapeย Blue Chips 7000 and for the most part Iโd say he delivered. If you were one of those fans upset with all the singing and non hip-hop present on his debut then youโll be glad to hear that heโs back with all the cinematic production and imagery rich lyricism youโve come to love about him. The production is really phenomenal and itโs absolutely chock full of some of his best quotables to date. Iโve always felt like Bronson is at his best when his projects play fast and loose and onย Blue Chips 7000 heโs absolutely razor sharp.
