Keeping up with all these new DJs and producers can become quite the chore as there seems to be a new dozen popping up everyday. For me, itโs also caused a lot of these popular songs to start sounding the same, but when I heard โLove$ickโ I felt like there was something different about Mura Masa; then I heard โAll Around the Worldโ with Desiigner and I was all in on the new producer, his debut was something I needed to hear.

Mura Masa has easily become one of my favorite electronic albums to come out in quite some time. I wouldnโt say that it does anything necessarily new or groundbreaking but by the way he brings together all his different influences from genres like pop, folk, alternative, and hip-hop to make his own unique sound makes this a highly enjoyable listen from start to finish. Like most producer albums, the songs are only as good as their features and while Iโm not familiar with most of the ones he employs here, they all do a fantastic job of bringing life to his stellar production. With a debut like this, thereโs no doubt in my mind that Mura Masa will be the next big thing in music.
