Just a heads up; writing is one of my favorite outlets and it’s been too long since I’ve written on here. So look out for more of these posts consistently.
I think most people would agree that I haven’t had a conventional life. Growing up a military brat, playing Division 1 college basketball, and now professionally in Europe has led me to unusual experiences and an outlook on the world probably different from most. Combine that with the last few years of building a brand and business from the ground up and I’ve come to understand one thing in particular. Growing, whether that’s personally or professionally, is fucking hard. At times it may even seem impossible. But the only way to get to that next level is to push through.
That perfectly laid out plan you’ve been putting together for a month didn’t even get past phase 1? Push through. Just spent 20 hours on something that you just now realized is a complete shit show? Push through. Invested time, energy, and money on people with nothing to show for it? Push through. Finally got everything together and ready to make that next step? Ha psych you messed up 20 steps ago and now it’s come back to haunt you. (I may or may not be speaking from experience.)
Plans fall apart, people are shitty, and ideas change.
The process can be maddening and there are going to be numerous breaking points, but most people who make it to that next level are the ones who can simply endure the most. So push through because when that moment comes where everything just clicks, it’s fucking sweet!
